Solect Energy is currently seeking a full-time Massachusetts based Project Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing resources and activities involved in the installation of commercial PV Solar Systems. This is a customer facing position. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of commercial solar or electrical management experience, superb customer service skills, strong technical and business acumen, and impeccable time-management skills which will enable success across multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will be a driven, self-starter with a passion for the solar industry and the desire to propel a fast-growing Solar Development firm to regional prominence. The position requires the ability to manage a large volume of projects while demonstrating excellent professional communication. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is a key to success in this role. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team and participate in the solar (PV) industry from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed timeline for all projects.
- Manage the appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within scheduled timeframes.
- Perform regular site visits to track project progress.
- Manage customer communication and ensure excellent customer experience. Serve as the main point of contact with the customer regarding project progress.
- Manage the subcontractors to achieve agreed upon timeframes and quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of the project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
- Ensure all processes relative to materials, safety, and job quality are followed during the project.
- Provide timely project administrative information necessary to meet Solect requirements.
- Provide leadership mentoring for site supervisors.
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience
- 2 years of commercial solar or electrical experience preferred
- 2 years of project management experience preferred

- Successfully managed multiple 50-250 kW DC projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized with excellent time-management skills. Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and strong critical thinking skills to solve project issues quickly and effectively
- Superb customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and work well with the entire Solect team.
- Strong computer skills and detailed knowledge of G suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Salesforce
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Preference given to candidates with NABCEP Certification and CSL
- Willing and capable of climbing ladders, stairs and working on roof tops.

Key Functions
- Drive company vehicles to deliver job site construction materials and safety equipment as needed using lulls and lifts. Utilize site visit checklists and pictures to perform pre-stage, stage and support sites as needed always in accordance with all safety policies and procedures. Support the Regulatory Team with permit drop-offs and pickups. Properly document any movement of equipment, material and supplies to/from job sites.
- Work in warehouse to maintain inventory levels and controls, arrange all site rental equipment deliveries and pickups and maintain facilities.
- Utilize and maintain the company fleet, personal DOT trip logs, and weekly Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR),as required. Process weekly personal logistics duty log, fill out inventory tracking sheets and get all proper signatures for receiving and delivery orders
- Load/unload delivery trucks set up/breakdown safety equipment and assist with stock handling and inventory controls in the warehouse.

Analyst, Strategic Finance
Overview
General Summary
The Financial Analyst role offers an opportunity to join a leading company in the fast-growing renewable energy industry. The Financial Analyst will provide financial modelling support to the sales team while continuing to refine Solect’s project financing model. This position will also be an integral part of our structured finance investment team to grow our portfolio of renewable assets. In addition, the financial analyst will work closely with the construction services team to improve Solect’s speed and accuracy in project costing/estimating. Solect’s offices are located in Hopkinton, MA, and this position is expected to be hybrid or full-time in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support Business Development Managers by modeling complex solar and energy storage opportunities
- Work with the structured finance team to continuously refine Solect’s project financial model and support our asset portfolio
- Continually refine Solect’s financial model by integrating regulatory changes, equipment changes, and learnings from experience on completed projects
- Analyze actual vs. estimated costs to improve Solect’s accuracy in estimating
- Attend design and costing reviews. Support the Design team and Estimators by building and maintaining an easy-to-use, up-to-date database and methodology for costing complex projects
- Support the Energy Storage, Sales, and other Departments as necessary with reporting and analysis
- Support project financing process to ensure all projects meet minimum hurdle rates, and information is current and understood about all portfolio assets
- Interface with the policy team to understand regulatory tariffs, state incentive programs, and federal tax benefits. Integrate changes to policy and new policy into Solect’s financial models to ensure accuracy
- Support the CFO with ad hoc corporate finance analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of experience
- Excellent financial acumen: Knowledge of accounting, financial statements, time value of money, and metrics that are meaningful to C-level decision-makers
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Creative problem solver – this role requires someone with the ability to understand high-level company goals and determine the best way to support them
- Strong communication skills – this role will interface with several internal company functions and require a thorough understanding of all stakeholder requirements to develop “user-friendly” tools and models
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of regulations and how they impact project financials
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
- Highly ethical, professional, and committed to team success
- Passionate about renewables
- Experience in the solar and/or energy industry is a strong plus
