His extensive background in high-tech services spans over 25 years, marked by senior management roles at Digital, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard. Throughout his career, Ken has consistently demonstrated a knack for fostering growth, achieving operational excellence, and setting high standards for profitability. Ken holds an associate degree in computer science from Moraine Valley College and is actively involved in charitable projects.

James R. Dumas

Jim, one of the founding principals at Solect Energy, serves as the Chief Financial Officer, directing financial operations, reporting, and project financing and planning. With a robust background spanning over two decades in the high-tech industry, he contributed his expertise to major Fortune 500 companies, including Verizon, Sprint, and Cognizant Technologies Solutions. Jim’s forte lies in business development and P&L performance management. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from WPI and an MBA in Marketing from Pace University Lubin School of Business.

Steve J. Bianchi

As Senior VP & GM of Customer Services and a vital Executive Team member, Steve oversees Solect’s Services division. With over 25 years of experience playing leadership roles in the areas of sales, operations, supply chain, marketing, and IT, Steve’s expertise is unparalleled. At Hewlett Packard, Steve was VP of Volume Direct Operations, directing strategy and execution for a $5.5B commercial business line. He initiated and oversaw Americas Channel Operations, managing operational strategy and execution across all products and channel segments, generating $25B in annual revenue. Steve holds a BS in Management from Lesley University and an A.S degree in Computer Science from Hesser College.

Scott Howe

Scott serves as Solect’s Senior VP & GM of Business Development and is a pivotal member of the Executive Management Team. Since joining Solect in 2011, he has focused on sales execution, solar policy, and driving market development initiatives. He has also served on the board of directors for the Solar Business Association of New England, working to shape solar and regulatory policies. Before joining Solect in 2011, Scott had a distinguished career spanning 30 years in the electrical power and controls industry with Westinghouse and Rockwell Automation. Scott holds a BS in Engineering from Clarkson University and a certification in Operations, Inventory, and Sales Management for distribution from Texas A&M University.

Alex Keally

Alex, as the Senior Vice President and GM of Storage Development and a valued member of the Executive Management Team, leads business development and operational excellence for Solect’s energy storage vertical. With a decade of experience in the clean energy sector, Alex held pivotal leadership roles in sales, operations, and consulting before joining Solect in 2011. At Evergreen Solar, a global solar panel manufacturer, he excelled as Director of Sales Operations and Director of Sales for the Americas and Asia Pacific. Additionally, Alex contributed his expertise to Hillhouse Advisors, a start-up incubator, and Northbridge Environmental Management Consultants, where he provided strategic guidance to clients, including the EPA, MA DEP, and Coca-Cola, on the economic and financial aspects of environmental issues and programs. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Brian Herr

Brian is the Vice President & GM of the Construction Services Group and an integral member of the Executive Management Team. He oversees all aspects of project design, engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance. With a career spanning over 25 years in the electrical manufacturing and distribution sectors, Brian has excelled in various sales, management, marketing, and GM roles. Previously, he served as a Sales Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company, operating across the New England and Houston, TX markets, and as a Branch GM at WESCO Distribution in Boston, MA. In addition to his professional pursuits in the renewable energy industry, Brian actively engages in local, state, and federal government activities. Brian holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Liberal Arts in Government from Harvard University Extension School.

Toby Holloran
Senior VP & GM of Construction Services Group

Toby brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in IT Services & Solutions, where he played senior leadership roles across the areas of Custom IT Services, Field Service, Services Sales, Support Operations, and General Management. Most recently, he served as a Sr. Director of Global Operations at Dell Technologies, where he led high-performance teams and drove operational success while helping customers achieve their business goals. Toby’s background includes graduating from two Technical Schools, attending the University of New Haven, and gaining hands-on experience in the trades before transitioning to the computer industry.

Matt Shortsleeve
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Policy

With over a decade of experience, Matt has successfully developed more than 100 solar and energy storage projects for municipalities, school districts, state agencies, and businesses. His expertise encompasses a wide range of solutions, including rooftop, canopy, ground-mounted systems, and large-scale, multi-megawatt renewable energy and storage infrastructures. In addition to project development, he manages legislative and regulatory affairs, advocating for policies and frameworks that advance a clean energy economy powered by a modernized electric grid. Matt holds a BS in finance and management from Northeastern University and an executive graduate degree in sustainability leadership from Presidio Graduate School.

Celia Rosenberg
Senior Vice President, Development Support Services

Celia drives the company’s success by leading the Regulatory, Design, and Engineering teams and managing critical aspects of Asset Management and Business Operations. With an impressive 15 years of experience in operations management within the clean energy sector—13 of which are in the solar industry—she brings unmatched expertise and strategic vision to propel innovation and operational excellence in renewable energy. Celia holds a BS in textile sciences and engineering from UMass Dartmouth.
