Ken, the Executive Chairman and one of the founding principals at Solect Energy, plays a pivotal role in steering strategic planning, defining the company’s vision, and driving overall growth. His extensive background in high-tech services spans over 25 years, marked by senior management roles at Digital, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard. Throughout his career, Ken has consistently demonstrated a knack for fostering growth, achieving operational excellence, and setting high standards for profitability.

Ken holds an associate degree in computer science from Moraine Valley College and is actively involved in charitable projects.

John serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Solect Energy. Prior to his appointment, John was Vice President, Head of Distributed Generation at Pattern Energy, where he held various roles since Pattern’s founding in 2009, including leadership positions in corporate M&A, project finance, and strategic development.

Prior to joining Pattern Energy, John worked for Babcock & Brown’s North American energy business, which he joined following its acquisition of Bluewater Wind, where he served as the CFO.

John holds an MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College. His career path, spanning corporate and startup environments, highlights his adaptability, strategic mindset, and commitment to driving innovation in the energy industry.

Alex has been with Solect since 2011, with various roles during his tenure. Over his time at Solect, he has developed over 100 solar and energy storage projects. Alex currently focuses on strategy and developing new markets for Solect, including energy storage, EV charging, and new geographies.

Before Solect, Alex worked at Evergreen Solar, a global manufacturer of solar panels, most recently as Director of Sales and Sales Operations. Before Evergreen Solar, he worked in environmental management consulting.

Alex received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Brian is the Senior Vice President & GM of the Business Development team at Solect. He collaborates with the key leaders overseeing our marketing, program management, strategic development, general sales, and customer service efforts. With a career spanning over 40 years in the renewable energy, electrical manufacturing, and distribution sectors, Brian has held senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, management, and beyond.

In addition to his professional pursuits in the solar development and construction industry, Brian actively engages in local, state, and federal government activities. He has served on numerous public boards, committees, and non-profit organizations in Massachusetts.

Brian holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Liberal Arts in Government from the Extension School at Harvard University.

Celia is the Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Solect Energy. She drives the company’s success by leading the regulatory, asset management, and business operations aspects of the company. With over 15 years of experience in the solar industry, Celia brings expertise and strategic vision to advance operational excellence.

Prior to Solect, Celia was the Operations Support Manager at NRG Home Solar, leading one of the top-performing teams across the residential solar division of the company.

Celia holds a BS in Textile Science and Engineering with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

With over a decade of experience, Matt has successfully developed more than 100 solar and energy storage projects for municipalities, school districts, state agencies, and businesses. His expertise encompasses a wide range of solutions, including rooftop, canopy, ground-mounted systems, and large-scale, multi-megawatt renewable energy and storage infrastructures.

In addition to project development, he manages legislative and regulatory affairs, advocating for policies and frameworks that advance a clean energy economy powered by a modernized electric grid.

Matt holds a BS in finance and management from Northeastern University and an executive graduate degree in sustainability leadership from Presidio Graduate School.

Scott serves as Solect’s Senior VP of Strategic Development and is a pivotal member of the Executive Management Team. Since joining Solect in 2011, he has been responsible for Solect’s top-line revenue growth and driving new market development initiatives. He has served on the board of directors for the Solar Business Association of New England, working to shape solar and regulatory policies. Before joining Solect in 2011, Scott had a distinguished career spanning 30 years in the electrical power and controls industry.

Scott holds a BS in Engineering from Clarkson University and a certification in Operations, Inventory, and Sales Management for distribution from Texas A&M University.

Shaw leads the legal team and provides comprehensive legal support for all business operations. He is dedicated to streamlining customer negotiations to accelerate project launches by minimizing legal bottlenecks. Shaw is adept at developing creative solutions to complex business challenges, ensuring transactions proceed efficiently.

Before joining Solect, Shaw was legal counsel at Enel X North America, supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses including demand response, behind-the-meter energy storage, renewable energy consulting, and electric vehicle charging. His background includes extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and financing/tax equity financing, including several years of private equity M&A practice at a major law firm.

Shaw holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Toby brings a wealth of experience from a distinguished career in IT Services & Solutions, where he played senior leadership roles across the areas of Custom IT Services, Field Service, Services Sales, Support Operations, and General Management. Most recently, he served as a Sr. Director of Global Operations at Dell Technologies, where he led high-performance teams and drove operational success while helping customers achieve their business goals.

Toby’s background includes graduating from two Technical Schools, attending the University of New Haven, and gaining hands-on experience in the trades before transitioning to the computer industry.
