In October of 2015, PowerOptions Solar and Solect Energy teamed-up to offer practical, sustainable, and affordable solar energy solutions for nonprofit and public sector organizations through the Small Systems Solar program, designed to build on-site solar PPAs for commercial nonprofits up to 300 kW.
The Small Systems Solar program provides competitively priced and pre-negotiated contract terms for solar systems less than 300 kilowatts (kW), and reflects the benefits of leveraging the potential for multiple projects across the consortium. The program will provide savings for members and a hedge against future cost increases over the life of the 20-year solar contracts.
PowerOptions® is the largest energy buying consortium in Massachusetts, serving more than 500 nonprofit organizations and governmental entities with combined annual energy sales of roughly $175 million.
In late spring of 2015, Solect partnered with IGS Solar, an affiliate company of one of the largest independent energy suppliers in the United States, to bring no-cost solar energy solutions to businesses and organizations across the state. The partnership provides more affordable financing options for companies seeking solar energy solutions by making power purchase agreements (PPAs) available to potential customers interested in using clean, renewable energy without incurring the capital expense and equipment responsibility, aiming to provide 10 MW of PPAs over the course of the partnership.
IGS Energy has been an advocate for change in the energy industry since 1989. As one of the largest independent energy suppliers, the company helps more than one million residential, commercial, and industrial consumers make smart energy decisions.
In the summer of 2015, Solect joined forces with OneRoof Energy to offer comprehensive solar solutions to residential customers in Massachusetts. Solect works as the preferred installer and fulfillment partner for OneRoof Energy’s Massachusetts customers, while OneRoof owns the sales process, maintaining the customer relationship. The partnership enables Solect to provide a solution to our customers looking for residential solar while maintaining the company’s focus on our core commercial-scale solar customers.
